Protein Slice Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 Scoops of quality chocolate protein powder
- 1 ½ cups of almonds
- ½ cup of Pumpkin seeds
- ½ cup of Pepitas seeds
- ¾ cup of walnuts
- 30 dried dates
- Water
Method
- using a grinder or a food processor, grind the almonds into a rough powder form
- chop walnuts and dates roughly
- in a mixing bowl place pumpkin seeds, ground almonds, protein powder, chopped walnuts and dates
- add water to the mixture gradually, just enough to moisten the mixture into a lumpy mass that holds together solidly
- press mixture into a baking tray and sprinkle the pepitas on top and press down lightly
- leave to set in the fridge 1hr
- slice into portion pieces (suitable for freezing)
- ENJOY!!!!
Don’t be afraid to experiment with this recipe, substitute some ingredients – try using oats, pecan nuts, dried apricot, coconut, and sunflower seeds.
