SAGE SHOULD BE AVOIDED DURING PREGNANCY AS IT COULD BRING ON A MISCARRIAGE.

The Chinese have a saying “with Sage in the garden you will never die.”

It is hard to believe that this common herb, so totally overlooked by so many has such a large range of healing properties.

Cooled tea makes a soothing mouth rinse for inflamed or bleeding gums and is an effective gargle for sore throats, laryngitis difficulties in swallowing, infections of the tonsils and catarrh of the pharynx.

It is a great blood purifier and patting the cooled tea onto the skin helps close enlarged pores and overall gives a smoother look to the skin.

It has been known to eliminate worms in children.

It can relieve tension and soothe nerves.

Dries up milk in nursing mothers.

Best of all it grows so easily in a pot in the garden or on a balcony.
